2011 season is over

07/26/2011 4:14 pm
America/Denver

Thanks to everyone for a great 2011 season!  We placed 10th, out of 18 teams in RMSL!  We won 2 dual meets and lost, by a small margin, 3 meets.  Lots of personal bests and several pool records were broken this summer!  Some kids swam their first 25 this summer in a meet!  Several seniors graduated and are finished with summer league swim team.  :(  The coaches and swimmers and volunteers were fantastic!  We look forward to a great season in 2012, with three new parent reps - Jody Baker, Amy Daly and Kim Oliva.  Have a great year and we'll hope to see you back next spring!  Registration will be mid-April online.  Watch this website for more details and we'll send out an email to "old" swimmers in March about 2012!

Pirate's Cove cancelled tonight

Wow, our 2nd try at Pirate's Cove this summer...and due to lightning and rain, it's cancelled again.

Pirate's Cove Tuesday July 19th

Pirates Cove is still on for tomorrow night, July 19th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, if the weather holds out.  Cost is $10 per person and will be collected at the door.  Hope to see everyone there, remember family and friends of Forest Park Swim Team are both welcome.

Finals and End of Season Party tomorrow

Blue Fins, the end of season is almost near - hard to believe!  Tomorrow, around 40 swimmers are participating in Finals at Stonegate.  Tomorrow evening at 7 p.m., is the End of Season Party.  Parent reps will talk to the team a little, the coaches will speak and we'll hand out awards/trophies/swimmer gifts for each age group - afterwards is free (fun) swimming.  Bring a dessert tomorrow evening and a couple of camping chairs and swim suits.  We'll hope for no rain, too!

Tomorrow morning, our warm ups for those participating in Finals is at 7:10 a.m. in lanes 1-4.  Be at Stonegate by 7 a.m., to find our set up spot.  We could use several tents from families, as we will be there much of the day and it is supposed to be hot, and possibly rain in the afternoon.

We need everyone who is an alternate to show up tomorrow morning for warm ups.  You might swim - you never know.  Also, if you're in a relay, other people are counting on you so please show up tomorrow am, too.

Visit www.rmsl.org for Prelim Results, Map to Stonegate & Finals information.  I haven't attached any of the forms to this email since they are all there.

We've had a great season!  Thank you all for your help!

8 & under prelim Friday

All that positive energy held off the weather today so we could complete the 13- 18 Prelim and need it through tomorrow.  CCV has been very gracious to be the back-up pool for the 8 & Under Makeup Meet Friday.  The Meet will start at 8 am and is scheduled to be completed around 10:15 am.  You will need to ensure your teams volunteer slots for the Monday 8 & Under from 2 pm to end shift is filled, I have attached the schedule (no T-Shirt).  This will run just like the start of a Prelim (except starting with the event and heat we stopped) the warm-up schedule and Tent placement (if you plan to bring one) will be posted on the website to night.  Please confirm your swimmers availability for the scratch meeting Friday morning.  Watch for additional emails as we all make adjustments for this meet to work as we have been very fortunate over the last 15 or more years to never need the Friday make-up.

Big Thank You from your RMSL Board!!!
