finals info & end of season party this weekend!

Finals are Saturday July 17th at:
Cherry Creek Vista Swimming Pool
11350 East Orchard Road
Englewood, CO

From I-25, take Orchard Road East for about 2 miles. You'll see the pool on the right hand side. 

We want to make all teams aware of a few important details as you plan your trip to finals. 

There will be limited space away from the pool where chairs may be set up. NO TENTS OR AWNINGS WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE FENCED POOL AREA! There is plenty of space for tents and awnings in the school yard just across from the pool and some area near the team tents. There will be a "standing only" area on the north side of our beach-entry pool for additional race viewing.

*TENT/CHAIR/SWIMMER DROP OFF - There will be a drop off area on the nw corner of the pool. The circular drive in the Cottonwood Elementary parking lot will be marked specifically for this. THERE IS NO PARKING IN THE COTTONWOOD LOT AS CONSTRUCTION CREWS WILL BE WORKING ON SATURDAY!

*CCV has bathrooms located inside the fenced pool area that will be marked for men & women. There will be 4 additional porta pottys located just outside the fenced area for every one's use.

*Heating will be fenced and secured and should only have swimmers & heating volunteers in this area. Pre-heating, which will take place just outside the sw corner of the pool will be open to coaches. 

Our warm up time is 7:30 a.m. in lanes 7 & 8.  Be there by 7:15 to get set up to be in the water at 7:30.  Here's a link to show where our team tents are to be placed.  Looks like we're in the back row of the line up away from the pool:

2010 FINALS AT CCV
*Due to the limited deck space at CCV - THERE WILL BE NO TENTS OR CANOPYS ALLOWED INSIDE THE POOL AREA! There is park area on the south and west side of the pool where tents and canopy's can be set up.
Parking: Available on both sides of Orchard Road in front of the pool. NOTE: The Cottonwood Elementary School parking lot is NOT available due to construction currently going on at the school. Neighborhood side-streets can be utilized.
Tents: Team tents will be set up in the designated area outside the pool area on the south side. Please refer to tent map and look for the stake identifying your team when arriving for set up.
Programs: Programs ($4) and highlighters ($1) will be sold at the meet.
Concessions: The concession stand is located on the northwest corner of the facility. Please support the CCV hosting effort by visiting and purchasing your goodies at the meet!
Coaches Area: Coaches have a designated area on the south side of the pool. Programs and lunch will be provided.
Cards/Heating: Cards will be distributed at the entrance to the secured heating area. Swimmers & heating personnel are the only people allowed in heating! Cards/heating can be found in the southwest corner of the facility.

Please check the rmsl website - rmsl.org - for more information on which kids made finals, etc., if you'd like.  They are divided by age groups on their website under 2010 Prelims.   

It's been a great season!  For those going to finals, eat & sleep well tonight and we'll see you at the pool tomorrow a.m. by 7:15. Parents, we will need some volunteers at the meet.  Please let myself or Jessica know when/if you're available to make our jobs easier!

We'll see everyone else at the party Sunday night, July 18th, 7 p.m.  Bring dessert, swim suit and chairs.  Go Blue Fins!!
